Funeral services for Cynthia Carol (Kirby) Brown, a Coalgate resident, were held Friday, November 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Coalgate First Baptist Church, with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating. Burial was in Keel Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brown was born September 29, 1977 to Mike Gene Kirby and Vera Lorraine (Gibbs) Allen, at West Monroe, LA and passed away November 21, 2023 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 46 years, 1 month and 23 days. She graduated from Olney High School Class of 1996 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Cynthia married Justin Herbert Brown on June 13, 1998 at the Coalgate First Baptist Church. They enjoyed 25 years together. Cynthia was a loving wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Coalgate First Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed hunting and riding in the monster truck. Her favorite times were spent with her family, especially with her children, attending their activities. She loved listening to her children play music.

Survivors include her husband, Justin Herbert Brown of the home in Coalgate; children, Vincent Ty Brown and Mikayla Victoria Brown, both of the home; mother, Vera Allen of Cumby, TX; brothers, Billy Kirby and Michael Kirby, both of Cumby, TX; motherin- law, Frances Brown of Coalgate; brotherin- law, Travis Brown of Shawnee, OK; special uncle, Wayne Gibbs of Ada, OK; best friend, Jessica Estes of Stratford, OK; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and a host of dearly loved friends who will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mike Kirby; step-father, Paul Allen; father-inlaw, Victor Brown; and brother-in-law, Vincent Brown.

Casketbearers were Greg Davidson, Dustin Battles, Travis Brown, John Miller II, Ralph Wilson and John Hampton. Honorary bearer was Wayne Gibbs.
