Graveside services for Leamon Wayne Morris, a Coalgate resident, were held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Meadows Cemetery in Atoka, OK with Mr. Jeff Roebuck officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Morris was born July 7, 1937 to Frederick Nathaniel and Ethel Alta (Camp) Morris in Atoka County, OK and passed away November 4, 2019 at Coalgate at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 28 days. He attended Atoka

, graduating

Atoka High School. Leamon was a rancher, but he also owned and operated Coal County Feed Store in Coalgate, operated the Out West Bar in Coalgate, worked for TNT Milling Feed Store in Atoka and was a livestock inspector for Southeast Oklahoma. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ranching, and the history of ranching. Leamon was a proud veteran of the District 12 Choctaw Nation.

Survivors include a nephew, Artus-see Morris and wife Gina of Corpus

Christi, TX; grand niece, Taneesa Morris of Houston, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dearly loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frederick N. Morris, Jr. and Forest G. Morris; and sisters, Toy Gruser and Virginia Merrill.

Casketbearers were Tommy Woods, Dan Loudermilk, Tommy Loud-, , Logan

Chuck Loudermilk. Honorary bearers were Jimbo Eclair, Clay Lane, Reuben Burge and James Frazier.
