Nelda Marie Toste passes away

Nelda Marie (Renfro) Toste, a Coalgate resident, passed away November 5, 2018 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 28 days. She was born January 8, 1934 to William and Lottie Rae (Chaffin) at Kenefic, OK. Nelda attended school and graduated from Caddo High School. She married John West and later John Toste, both preceded her in death. Nelda worked as a nurse’s aid. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading books, playing bingo and spoiling her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Johnny Royce

West and wife Rhonda of Hodgen, OK; daughter, Cynthia West of Coal-gate; stepchildren, Brian Toste, Anthony Toste and Jana Toste of Vinita, OK, Christina West Stroud of Stroud, OK and Katrina Williams of Canada; grandchildren, Deanna West of Coal-gate, Patricia West of Oregon, Manuel Lopez of Atoka, Maria Lopez, Tanya Arellano, both of California, Julie Prasad of Washington and George Lopez of Texas; brother, James “Buster” Renfro of Coleman, OK; numerous great-grandchildren; along with many dearly loved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; daughter, Kathleen Lopez; son, Billy West; grandson, Bubba West; brother, Leroy Renfro; and sister, Betty Clark.
