He graduated from Olney High School in May of 1962. Nem proudly served his country and fought in the Vietnam War. He returned state side and started work as a dozer operator helping build the Indian Nation Turnpike. In 1970 he began his life as a cross country truck driver. He drove a truck until 2022 when he medically had to give up his profession. Driving a truck ran deep in his blood as it was a passion for him. Nem married the love of his life, Deloris Irene Pierce on November 17, 1962 in Wapanucka, OK. They had one daughter, Chris who was born on October 22, 1968. Nem had a way with animals as he had trained many horses, mules and donkeys to do things on command In his older years he took up a hobby of driving a wagon with a team of mules. Rose and Becky were his two girls. They would pull his wagon for many miles and numerous states for up to 28 days at a time. He had a special pup named Pharoh that rode with him on every ride. After losing Pharoh, his latest pup, Pete has taken over the role as man’s best friend. Nem saved a tiny little kitten who had not opened his eyes yet. He nursed this kitten with an eyedropper. Joe Lewis became his best, but meanest cat.
