Service held for Bobby Joe Ingram

Services for Bobby Joe Ingram, 89, of Tupelo were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Tupelo Church of Christ, Bryant Naquin officiated with Wendell and Daniel Ingram assisting. Beau Landry was the song-leader. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Stonewall. The Ft. Sill Honor Guard conducted military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Ingram passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his home. He was born August 20, 1932 in Tupelo, OK to Allen Grady and Annie Bell Angel Ingram.

He married Edna Scott on November 27, 1955. Mr. Ingram was a barber for many years. He was also the Tupelo City Clerk, an insurance agent, and was a Tupelo School Bus Driver until his retirement. He had served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Edna, of the home; son, Wendell Ingram and wife Kathy, Tupelo; his brother, James Ingram, Washington, OK; three grandchildren, Angela Ingram, Tiffany Landry and Daniel Ingram; and seven greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cara Lynn Ingram; five brothers, Leallen Ingram, Hank Ingram, Leroy Ingram, Allen Ingram and Harrison Ingram; and four sisters, Thelma Walkup, Betty Reed, Odetta Hudson and Melba Anderson.

Bearers were Charles Hudson, Jared Hudson, Ed King, Kenny Ray, Larry Westbrook and Charles Canida. Honorary bearer was Johnny Flowers.
