Service held for Donna Leann Bowen

Funeral services for Donna Leann Bowen, a Sherman, TX resident, were held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka, OK with Rev. Donnie Moore officiating. Burial was in Wardville Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Bowen was born October 11, 1958 to William and Joyce Murine (Ashlock) Bowen at McAlester, OK and passed away November 6, 2019 at Plano, TX at the age of 61 years, and 26 days. She attended Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, TX and was a housewife and homemaker. Donna also worked Childs Daycare Center in Amarillo, TX and in the deli section of Venture Foods Store in Shattuck, OK. She was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed shooting guns, feeding cattle and horses, hanging out in the outdoors, and cruising in around the pasture. Donna loved to dance and the light of her life was being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Cole Suddeath and daughter-in-law, Bailey of Burlington, CO; father, Bill Bowen of Sherman, TX; brother, Lonnie Bowen of Amarillo, TX; sister, Debbie Bowen Lynch of Sherman, TX; grandchildren, Chloe Noreuil of Woodward, OK, Lexi Suddeath and Brinlee Suddeath both of Burlington CO; nieces, Sabra Wechsler and husband David of West Palm, FL and Chelsea Bowen and fianc’e Kevin Green of Amarillo, TX; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Murine Newton.

Casketbearers were Darvin Meurise, Larry Meurise, Kevin Green, David Wechsler, Justin Gray, and Bo Rushing. Honorary bearers were Eddie Bowen, Ronnie “Door Knob” Bowen, Ashley Bowen, Chris Spring and Chad Bowen.
