Service Saturday for Jerry Ike Shockey

A celebration of life for Jerry Ike Shockey, a Coalgate resident, will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Jerry’s home in Coalgate, OK.

Mr. Shockey was born January 12, 1955 to Bill and Vera (Archer) Shockey at Coalgate, OK and passed away August 15, 2021 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 3 days. He was a derrick hand in the oil field and worked cement construction for Townsco. Jerry Ike was a coin collector and enjoyed hunting arrowheads. He liked working on cars and building things. Jerry loved being around people and had a very distinctive laugh that no one will forget.

Survivors include a son, Randy Shockey and wife Dawn of Mulvane, KS; sisters, Betty Warren of Coalgate, Shirley Pratt of Tujunga, CA, Doris Ruth and wife Jackie of Eunice, NM, Janie Pierce and David Starr of Ada, OK and Connie Shockey of Hobbs, NM; brothers, Billy Don Shockey and wife Linda of Ada, OK and Jimmy Shockey of Coalgate; companion, Beva Haynes of Wichita, KS; step-sons, Greg Sisco and wife Stephanie of Mulvane, KS and Jeff Sisco and wife Rochelle of Wichita, KS; eight grandchildren, Kaleb, Shelby, Randy Jr., Jesse, Kyle, Jacob, Brandon and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Vera (Archer) Shockey and brother, Bobby Gene Shockey.
