Service today for Donald Wayne Ridell

Funeral services for Donald Wayne Ridell, a Caney, OK resident, will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2020

(today), at 2:00 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with Barbara Bohannon and Vic Cook officiating. Burial will be in Stewart G a m m o n Cemetery in

Caney, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ridell was born March 13, 1953 to Joann (White) Jennings at Bakersfield, CA and passed away January 10, 2020 at Caney, OK at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 28 days. He attended Caney High School, proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a truck driver. Donald married Carrie Lyn (Wright) June 2, 2012 at Olive Garden in Plano, TX. He was a member of the Atoka VFW and a member of Caney Pentecostal Church. Donald enjoyed gardening, fishing, spending time with nieces and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Lyn Ridell of the home; daughters, Meghan Ridell of San Antonio, TX and Sandy Sampson and husband Mark of Wylie, TX; son Josh Ridell of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Lonnie Jennings and wife Rachel of Clarita, OK and Ricky Jennings and wife Joan of Caney, OK; sister, Charlotte Boley and husband Charley of Caney, OK; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; along with many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Harvey Jennings and Joann (White) Jennings; maternal grandparents, Pearl and John White; brothers, Arthur Cortez, Arthur Leon and Roy Allen Jennings; and sister Mary Jo Lucille Turner.

Casketbearers will be Lonnie Jennings, Rick Jennings, Charlotte Boley, CJ Bradford, Mark Sampson, and Stetson Jennings. Honorary bearers will be Meghan Ridell, Caitlin Sampson, Charley Boley, Don Turner, Richard Jennings, Josh Ridell, Sandy Sampson, Billy White, Randy Roy and Steve Gaylor.
