Service today for Scotty Ray Hedgecock

Funeral services for Scotty Ray Hedgecock, a Coalgate resident, will be held Wednesday (today), September 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Mr. Danny Ward officiating. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hedgecock was born July 10, 1943 to Patrick and Nora Naomi (Scott) Hedgecock at Coalgate and passed away September 20, 2019 at Plano, TX at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 10 days. He attended school at Cottonwood and Coalgate. Scotty proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked in construction. Scotty was of the Baptist faith. He loved leather work, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include a daughter, Gina Ott and husband, Mel of Coalgate; sons, Keith Hedgecock and wife Jana and Shannon Hedgecock, all of Coalgate; grandchildren, Raven Ott, Gaven Ott, Robyn Ward, Brianna McCormick, Sabra Bush, Haleigh Jackson, and Serenity Hedgecock; sister, Betty Burge and husband Reuben of Coalgate; brothers, Don Hedgecock and wife Delores of Cottonwood, Larry Hedgecock and wife Bonnie of Sherman, TX, and Harold Hedgecock and wife Ernestine of Las Cruces, NM; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Linda Jo Hedgecock; brothers, Patrick Hedgecock, and Bob Hedgecock; sisters, Lula Belle Morrison and Shirley Hedgecock; granddaughters, Rosa Hedgecock and Shanna Marie Hedge-cock; and grandsons, Austin Dale Hedgecock and Steven Keith Hedgecock.

Casketbearers will be Johnny Dale Ward, Earl DePasse, Raymond DePasse, Brandon Madden, Benny Ward, and Danny Ward. Honorary bearers will be Arthur DePasse, Don Hedgecock, Reuben Burge, Larry Hedgecock, Harold Hedgecock, Leon Matthews, Bill Scott, Roger Hedgecock, Gaven Ott, and Lanny Hedgecock.
