Myron Del Leister
Myron Del Leister was born on December 1, 1939 in McAlester, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma to Paul B. Leister and Dovie Dorothy (Wilson) Leister. Myron passed away in Torrance, California on March 24, 2024 (Palm Sunday).
Myron attended Coalgate Schools through his junior year. He attended and was baptized in the First Baptist Church of Coalgate, just before the family moved to Torrance, California in the summer of 1956. He completed his Senior year and graduated from North Torrance High School in 1957.
Myron worked for Northrop Aviation from 1957 through 1962, when he joined and served in the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge from the Army in 1962, he returned to Northrop after having retained his position while on active duty.
Myron attended college part time for several years while working for Northrup, but finally decided to enroll full time at at California State University, Long Beach, where he completed the curriculum for a degree in Accounting. He then began his career as an accountant with Thomson Reuters, where he was a Metadata Analyst from May 1999 through March, 2012. Thomson is an American corporation involved in a variety of businesses, mainly aerospace, electronics, automotive, and credit reporting.
