Barbara Louise Crowell
Funeral services for Barbara Louise Crowell, a lifelong Caney, OK resident, were held Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Sammy Vaughn officiating. Burial was in Boggy Depot Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Crowell was born September 14, 1948 to Clifford Vernon and Mary Virginia (Ridgway) Crowell at Caney, OK and passed away January 19, 2025 at Durant, OK at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 5 days. She graduated from Caney High School with the class of 1966 and married Ronald Steven White in Atoka. Barbara was a certified home health aide. She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Midway Church. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, drinking Cherry Dr. Pepper, raising kids and spending time with her family and her dog, Bitsy.
Survivors include her former husband Ronald White of Atoka; daughter, Ginia Workman and husband Matt of Caney, OK; grandson, Colton Workman of Caney; granddaughter, Crissie Sellers of Caney; greatgranddaughters, Emory Jamison and Miyah Tatum both of Caney; brothers, Dewayne Crowell of Caney and Donald Crowell of Kenefic, OK; sister, Janice Terral and husband James of Ashland, OK; brother-inlaw, Floyd Stafford; aunt, Laura Jo Ridgway-Ables; special children, Rivers Nichole Webb, Dakota Dali Crane, Krystal Collins, Danner Shaffer; great nieces and nephews, Daytona Madrid, Dayton Madrid, Lynnyx Coleston, Davon Madrid, Daylin Madrid; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Vernon and Mary Virginia (Ridgway) Crowell; grandparents, Leo and Mary Edna Ridgway, Baxter and Ethel Crowell; sister, Diane Crowell; sisterin- law, Darlene Crowell; nephew, Steven Stafford; nieces, Jennifer Crowell, and Kimberly Crowell; great-nephew, Dalton Bartlett; and great-great niece, Saylor Coble.
Casketbearers were Cliff Crowell, Donovan Crowell, Brad Crowell, Colton Workman, James Whitmire,andBrianWebb. Honorary bearers were Walter Lewis White, Jerry Goodwin, Dayton Madrid, Jonathan Badders, Mike Collins, Hubert Stanley, Larry Harkey, Kenneth Crowell, Junior Crowell, Josh Merritt, Jason Merritt and Rex Barron.
