Read moreA traffic stop on Monday night led to the arrests of a California couple on drug and weapon charges after Ecstasy, marijuana and guns were found in their vehicle. According to City of Coalgate arresting Officer Nathan Price, 2.95 pounds of marijuana, 1.89 grams of ecstasy (plus a clear capsule containing a powder that field tested positive for Ecstasy), and two guns were among the items seized. A 43-year-old male and a 35-year-old female were transported to the Atoka County jail and booked on several charges, including possession of Ecstasy with intent to distribute. Charges are pending. Officers assisting at the scene included Coalgate Police Officer Dyllan Brown, Coal County Sheriff’s Deputies Kolton Parker and T.J. Maynard, and Choctaw Tribal Police Officer Roy Hummel.
