After months of discussion, planning, and implementing what would have been one of the best county fairs in several years, the Coal County Fair Board has sadly made the decision to cancel this year’s county fair. The board felt that it would be in the best interest of children and volunteers as well as visitors’ health to not conduct the county fair and its activities.

Read moreThe Oklahoma State Department of Health reported on Tuesday, August 4, that Coal County has had 31 total cases of COVID-19, with 23 of those cases recovered. According to those numbers, Coal County currently has eight active cases. Coal County has had zero deaths due to the virus.
