The Coalgate Wildcats varsity football team was on the losing end of a lopsid- In the 48-6 loss, the Coalgate offense only gained 50 total yards in the first half against a tough Holdenville defense that had allowed just an average of 15 points per game in six previous games this season. “They’re a good team,” Coalgate Head Coach Nathan Hill said, “(the coach) has done a good job up there. They’re probably number two in our district. They’ve only been beaten once, and that was by Davis by six points.” Hill said the Wildcats tried a different defense in response to Holdenville’s running game.

An error scored one run for Atoka. Nevaeh Parker was in the circle for Coalgate Wildcats Varsity. The ace went four innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out two and walking one. Coalgate Wildcats Varsity racked up 12 hits on the day. Macy Delozier, Kaylie Trevathan, Braedy Wardrope, and Jordana Fuller each racked up multiple hits for Coalgate Wildcats Varsity. Delozier led Coalgate Wildcats Varsity with three hits in three at bats. #14 went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Atoka in hits.
