Service Thursday for Juanita Morris

Funeral services for Juanita Morris, a Cottonwood resident, will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Danny Ward officiating. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Morris was born October 8, 1931 to Virgil and Lula Francis (Ruth) Fritz at Coalgate, OK and passed away January 18, 2020 at Denison, TX at the age of 88 years, 3 months and 10 days. She married James B. Morris in 1965. He preceded her in death in September of 1988. Juanita worked as a nurse’s aide for many years at Mary Hurley Hospital, retiring in 2012. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Coalgate. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Acosta and wife Kay of Bethany, OK and Lanny Hedgecock and wife Tammy of Coalgate; daughters, Brenda Bracklein and husband Scott of Yukon, OK and Cindy Morris of Shawnee, OK; grandchildren, Tisha Clemens, Tracy Hedgecock, Dakota Hedgecock, Brandon Acosta, Jason Ennis, Denver Acosta, Blaine Acosta, Marlana Farthing, Justin Campbell, Jeremy Campbell, and Miranda Farthing; great-grandchildren, Sahara Butts, Michaela Jump, Wyatt Nelson, Hailee Nelson, Charllee Couch, Dylan Acosta, Michael Ennis, Justin Ennis, Zach Ennis, Sadie Acosta, Kase Acosta, Remi Acosta, Zach Henry, Abi Henry, Christian Acosta; great-great-grandchildren, Kasen Cottrell and Traeger Butts; sister, Loretta Richardson of Perry, OK; brother, John Fritz of Coalgate, OK; along with nieces, nephews, and many loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Tommy Fritz, and daughter Nancy Farthing.

Casketbearers will be Jason Ennis, Brandon Acosta, Denver Acosta, Blaine Acosta, Dakota Hedgecock, Wyatt Nelson and Christian Acosta. Honorary bearers will be Johnny D. Ward, Randy Ward, Benny Ward, Roy Ward, Bob Ward, and Stanley Ward.
