What is Leap Year?

Simply stated, a Leap Year occurs when one day is added to the calendar every four years. Every year that is exactly divisible by four is a Leap Year, except for years that are exactly divisible by 100, but these centurial years are Leap Years if they are exactly divisible by 400. For example, the years 1700, 1800, and 1900 are not Leap Years, but the years 1600 and 2000 are.

Sample ballots available for Presidential Primary

Sample ballots are now available for the March 5th Presidential Primary Election. Republican, Democrat and Libertarian ballots are published in this paper. Voters can also download a sample ballot using the State Election Board OK Voter Portal at Oklahoma.gov/ elections/ovp or pick up a copy at the Coal County Election Board during normal business hours.
