Coal County is now among several other counties in Oklahoma that are currently under a burn ban. According to the Oklahoma Forestry Serviceswebsiteon Monday afternoon, commissioners in six other counties have passed resolutions proclaiming that extreme fire danger exists in their counties. Monday’s burn ban map includes Harmon, Tillman, Cotton, Jefferson, Carter and Love counties.
