Two men and a female from Texas were arrested for possession of illegal drugs the evening of June 30 after Reserve Officer Christian Minyen stopped their vehicle for a defective tag light, cracked windshield and defective exhaust system.

Eric Edurado Meza, 43, Oklahoma City, was cited for possession of marijuana after Officer Christian Minyen pulled his vehicle over in Coalgate for speeding. The traffic stop occurred at 1:19 a.m. June 17. Coalgate Police Officer Dyllan Brown assisted.

4th of July Independence Day Celebration Activities in Coal County

The Coal County Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Coalgate 4th of July Celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 4.
