OKLAHOMA CITY – A measure to improve public safety in small Oklahomatownspassed unanimously out of the Senate Appropriations Committee Wednesday. Sen. Grant Green, R-Wellston, authored Senate Bill 1095 to allow retired law enforcement members to be employed full-time in small towns.

LED conversion of 180 PSO-owned street lights will begin next week, weather-permitting. The new lighting will improve visibility for drivers and pedestrians, providing greater appeal and safety while strengthening connections in the community.
