Coal County Election Board Secretary Amber Fanning announced today that the filing period for a seat on the Coalgate City Council and the Coalgate, Cottonwood, and Tupelo Boards of Education opens Monday, December 1, at 8:00 a.m. Those who wish to file for an office must submit a Declaration of Candidacy to the Coal County Election Board December 1st, 2nd or 3rd, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
