Read moreThe United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that 45-year-old Ronald Wayne Yarbrough, Jr. of Lehigh has entered a guilty plea to voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of his stepfather, 66-year-old Robert Earl “Bob” Stevens. A probable cause affidavit filed in November 2022 by Choctaw Tribal Police Investigator Matt Barreras states that Choctaw Tribal Police were dispatched to Coal County General Hospital on Thanksgiving Day regarding a stabbing victim. Upon arrival at the hospital, hospital staff advised officers that Stevens had died due to an apparent stab wound to the neck.
