Funeral services for Shirley Ann (Clay) Hunt were held Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Stringtown First Baptist Church with Bro. Joey Lansdale officiating. Burial was in County Line Cemetery in Pickens, Oklahoma with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Their record with the offensive and defensive accomplishments makes it one the best teams in Coalgate history. The Wildcat team was made up of 15 seniors, 6 juniors and 9 sophomores. The Wildcat coaches were Stan Addy, head coach, and Troy Byrd, Gary Hummingbird and Joe Clifton assistant coaches.

Driving through Gowan on US270 and down Gowan Mountain into the vast Gowen Prairie, I asked him if he remembered how this part of the state looked in his “day.”

But there is a real question here. Where does happiness come from? How do we obtain it? Is happiness dependent on our external circumstances or is something deeper involved?
