Read morePaula Jeannine (Leister) Hall died on October 1, 2024. She passed peacefully at her home in Redondo Beach, CA, at the age of 89 surrounded by family. Born on October 7, 1934 to Dovie (Wilson) Leister and Paul Byron Leister in Coalgate, OK, Paula graduated Coalgate High School in 1952. She retired from a 25-year career as a proposal operations editor for TRW (now Northrop Grumman). During her life she enjoyed travel, especially for family and reunions, created award winning quilts, achieved Life Master status with the ACBL, and held leadership and supporting roles with the Clan MacMillan Pacific Branch and the 70th Infantry Division Association. She dearly loved her family, weekly bridge and mahjongg friends, and always enjoyed a gathering especially when she was hosting. The definition of grace, she will be profoundly missed.

Read moreMia Johnston and her mother, Jeanna Johnston, won the Oklahoma State Roundup Club Association state championships recently in their age divisions. This was Mia’s first time winning the all around title and Jeanna’s 4th straight time to win the all around title. They are the first mother/daughter to ever win these titles as far as anyone knows. The OSRCA is the oldest rodeo association in the state of Oklahoma and has contestants from all over the state compete over two weekends. Contestants must compete in 4 events and on the same horse. Mia attends Tupelo High School as a freshman and has been riding horses since she was 2 years old. She has won many championship titles and plans to go to college on a rodeo scholarship. Jeanna competed in rodeos from a very young age. They were competing through the Ada Area Round Up Club.
